On behalf of COWI and due to a significant pharma strategy, Best Talent is now searching for a Discipline Lead Pharma – Electrical Engineering.

The Team
In the team they are 50 team members working alongside the customers on some of Denmark´s most significant projects in Engineering. Discipline Lead Pharma – Electrical Engineering

  • You provide technical leadership including design and execution
  • You serve as the main point of contact with clients and contractors
  • Guidance of both project members and junior engineers

The Challenge
As a Discipline Lead in Electrical Engineering within the pharmaceutical industry, you are responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of electrical design and execution in complex, GMP-regulated facility projects. You ensure that electrical systems—such as power distribution, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and integration with automation—are engineered to meet stringent regulatory, safety, and operational requirements specific to pharmaceutical production environments.

All Pharma projects are located in Denmark and must be carried out in accordance with Danish regulations, standards, and for Danish contractors.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for electrical discipline in all phases of pharmaceutical facility projects: from feasibility and design through construction, commissioning and execution
  • Design and review electrical systems including medium and low voltage distribution, UPS, emergency power, cleanroom lighting, lightning protection, and bonding/earthing
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and GMP requirements
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (automation, HVAC, process, instrumentation) to develop integrated, compliant solutions
  • Support documentation, risk analysis, and validation activities related to electrical systems
  • Lead and participate in technical reviews, FAT/SAT processes, and inspections
  • Serve as the main point of contact for electrical engineering with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Extensive experience in electrical design and project execution within GMP environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences)
  • Solid understanding of relevant codes and standards
  • Experience with pharmaceutical cleanroom, redundancy strategies, and critical systems
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams or engineering disciplines in (CAPEX) projects
  • Strong documentation and validation support experience is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills in Danish and English
