The Challenge
If you excel within HR strategy and you are looking for a job with maximum impact and influence, this is what you want. You will head a team of 12 highly skilled and dedicated people in the HR organisation. You must lead the HR function in a cross functional way- meaning supporting local management and department heads on all HR related matters and issues by providing input, guidance, and coaching. The Senior Director is head of the HR department and an active member of the Leadership Team at Ferring IPC. You will be responsible for the development and execution of the local HR strategy in support of the overall business plan; strategic direction; succession plans; organizational and performance management as well as learning development, and payroll, compensation and benefits. You must provide leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to stakeholders and be a strategic partner to drive the Ferring People agenda for the site.

Ensure best practice in Leadership & HR
Ferring’s International Pharma Science Center (IPC) in Copenhagen is growing and has an ambitious strategy. New exiting positions within Marketing, Medical Affairs and Manufacturing functions are going to be moved from Switzerland to Denmark. Your focus and challenge will be to ensure to attract and retain highly qualified people to secure the growth and fulfilment of the goals.

You will work to:

  • Ensure that all necessary HR processes are well implemented, documented, and run smoothly
  • Ensure that payroll, merit increase and bonus processes are run efficiently and correctly, in line with audit standards and compliant with local legal requirements
  • Consult and advise local management in all HR matters
  • Lead/ensure professional local recruitment processes in line with global guidelines
  • Develop tracking tools and HR monitoring systems in line with global guidelines
  • Support HQ/Corporate HR in the implementation of corporate HR programs, processes or procedures which are to be locally applied
  • Manage implementation of state-of-the-art HR tools and processes, document them in guidelines when appropriate, in line with global guidelines
  • Make sure that budget goals are met
  • Consult/inform local management about all relevant HR initiatives and ensure communication to employees
  • Manage local litigation cases
  • Very good communicating skills and of course fluent in English both verbally and in writing

Your Talent
You have a university degree and 5-10 years’ experience in a generalist HR role in a multinational environment. Sound knowledge of local labour law and social security and employment practices.
Good knowledge of payroll and HR administration and experience in compensation and benefit schemes as well as in HR development. You have expertise in HR management processes and systems. You might have been working with development of young leaders from leadership principals. You have good computer skills in all relevant HR applications.

Ferring is looking for a profile with a solid foundation of professional knowledge. You have been working with recruitment and search strategy and have leadership experience. You must be able to set the direction and ensure everyone knows exactly where Ferring is heading, why they are going that way, and what their own role is to contribute to the common success – and you like to do it in a motivating and inspiring way. You have shown to see the bigger picture to prioritise and make fast decisions in a high paced environment.
