GEA offers a career in one of the world’s largest suppliers of process technology. On behalf of GEA, Best Talent is now looking for a Sales Manager in their Sustainability Task Force group for their business unit Dairy, Food Ingredients, and Chemicals. Sustainability in spray drying is a designated strategic and fast-growing business area, where you will be supporting their customers with detailed knowledge on how to fulfill the increasing sustainability requirements to the production line of the product.

The Team
You will be part of a dynamic and very enthusiastic team of people who are dedicated to the environmental agenda. Their focus is on optimizing dairy, food, and chemical customers' plants globally in terms of sustainability. As a Centre of Competence, they are together with their local region & country representatives, responsible for the technical and commercial excellence in marketing their solutions to their customers.

The Challenge
As Sales Manager in the Sustainability Task Force group, you will be responsible for the management of sales projects between 1-50 million DKK. in collaboration with local GEA offices and partners. Finding the right sustainability solution for a customer involves process and plant specification, cost and sales price setting, preparation of quotations, as well as final contract negotiations with customers.

 
You will form the link between their customers, their technical experts and project department to develop detailed quotations spanning the entire sustainability portfolio of GEA Drying Technologies.

In addition to the sales related work, building relationships with customers as well as local representatives is key:

  • You will provide technical day-to-day support and investigate the customers' needs together with local GEA representatives
  • You will work closely with customers and drive GEA’s relationship and customer focus. They will ensure that you are supported by internal experts in technology centers, application development and project execution
  • You will be involved in activities to strengthen their long-term sustainability business growth and market position. This involves exploration of new business opportunities as well as implementation of strategic initiatives as set up by the management

Your Talent
They are looking for an outgoing and proactive profile with a high drive and strong independence.
To have success in the job you must have a technical knowledge with a high interest of sustainable solutions, as well as a strong commercial mindset.

You must have a degree in sustainability/energy solutions, food technology, chemical or mechanical engineering, and you are familiar with industrial production processes and can translate this into attractive solutions for their customers.

Ideally you have sales experience within a specific industry and can show a successful track record within technical project sales.

As you will be working worldwide with customers you need to possess cross-cultural understanding and language skills to plan and carry out complex sales processes internationally and handle negotiations independently.

You must be fluent in English. Their corporate language is English and all contracts and communication with customers is in English. Mastering Danish, German and other languages is a plus.

If you like the “hunt” for finding solutions and closing orders in collaboration with customers and internal GEA stakeholders, if you have a strong mindset, can hold your nerve and if you are able to travel for up to 75 days a year, you might be the one they are looking for.

The position is based in Søborg, Copenhagen. 
They offer a significant on-bording program including training in the test station.
