The Team
The Digital Optimization Group develops real- time optimizers for production lines and processes, e.g software that adjusts process parameters to optimize the KPI´s of the process. The process optimization takes advantage of the latest technologies within machine-learning, web-technologies, big-data, and the cloud

The team has an important role within the GEA organization, as they are responsible for delivering and develop the IoT solution/platform that will be the core for the customers, providing the next level of process optimizations to complete factory lines.

To the team you bring high-level software development competences to support the scaling of digital products to handle more customers on the edge and cloud.

The Challenge
The purpose of the role is to help GEA´s customers step into the digital age and secure optimization of their production lines. You play an important key role on this journey, as you will be responsible for developing the software for the customers representing international top-level companies, within brewery, dairy, food, and pharma etc.

You work together with experienced software developers, where it is your responsibility together with your collegues, to pursue the optimal setup for the team to be able to deliver optimizers to the GEA customers in a scalable way. This also includes securing that the provided tools support the plans for digital optimization.

The platform must handle time critical optimization tasks, as well as lower priority tasks such as logging, model creation, etc. Stability (error handling), computational efficiency (optimization algorithms) and scalability (modularity of tasks) of the platform will be key goals in achieving a high-quality solution.

Your Talent
First and foremost, you are an experienced Software Developer within C#, Microsoft.NET 6.0, Microsoft Azure and preferably you are familiar with Kubernetes and online managed services.

You are driven by your passion and desire of developing digital innovation. You are an experienced Cloud/Edge Architect and Developer who wants to play a pivotal part in designing infrastructure and developing tools for optimization, ensuring the seamless operation of software solutions.

It will be a big advantage if you already have an interest and maybe some competences within machine learning and artificial intelligence.

As a person you possess strong problem-solving skills, and you have a proactive approach to challenges. You are comfortable working independently and at the same time you are a strong team player. The team will support you on the necessary input on process knowledge and optimization methods.

You have a creative mindset and are motivated by and passionate about digital innovation.

You are an excellent communicator, and you like to shine together with the team making a significant difference for GEA, being able to optimize the process factories all over the world

Other Qualifications but not limited to:

• Solid experience in cloud and edge architecture development
• Experience with systems running offline
• Server administration and configuration
• The working language is English in a Danish environment which is why you need excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably you speak and understand Danish.
