Senior/ Principal CMC Development Scientist

The Challenge
We are looking for a CMC Scientist who would like to take his/her career to the next level. Synklino recently initiated development of the first drug candidate and has initiated CMC development and manufacture at a European CMO. Synklino does not have internal GMP operations but supports oversight of external GMP activities. Synklino is working with most of their activities outsourced, though with an internal lab for early CMC development, Discovery and Pharmacology. As CMC Scientist you are the natural key player in the CMC development activities.

You will be responsible for:

Outsourcing and oversight of outsourced CMC activities within your main area of expertise
Support internal activities in CMC development within analytical and/or process development
Building systems and structure
Contribute to lead selection strategy with a developability assessment
Support IMPD / IND authoring and review
Be part of the team that build and expand Synklino from a single asset company to a pipeline company

As a team player, you will collaborate closely with multiple disciplines at Synklino. You will play an important role in executing the strategy both in development and discovery. You will work closely together with a highly specialized team of Synklino colleagues and consultant SMEs in different areas, and on CMC projects you will work together with our CMC project director.

Your Talent
You have experience being part of a development team in CMC development, and during GMP manufacture. It is an advantage if you have experience with CTA / IND writing and regulatory interactions, but not a requirement. You enjoy taking a key role in in building and maintaining structure and systems.

Your Qualifications:

Academic degree within relevant area
Experience with general CMC development
Experience with Pharmaceutical development of Biopharmaceuticals
Experience within one or more of the following
- Analytical development (HPLC, ELISA), cell-based assays, formulation studies, stability studies and/or process development
Understanding of GMP
Strong documentation and structure building skills

It is important that you are focused, can prioritize, and keep calm when deadlines are tight. You are good at solving problems and thrive with a well-balanced workload and with a good work life balance. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
