2 Automation Engineers SW Development
Would you like to drive the development of automation solutions for process plants – from early design to the final commissioning at the customer´s site around the world?

The Team
You will be joining the Automation Execution department, which is responsible for software development, project engineering, project management and process control commissioning. Specifically, you will be part of a software project and development team consisting of 6 other automation engineers. As part of a matrix organization, the team work closely with the divisions responsible for drying technology, fluid bed, spray and freeze drying of food, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical products.

The Challenge is to design and develop automation solutions worldwide
In this role, your focus will be to engineer and design as well as drive the project management of automation solutions for process plants. Being the main point of contact to the project leads, you are responsible for the delivery of the entire automation solution – both HW and SW.

Thus, you will be coordinating with the HW team on their deliveries and collaborating closely with the project management team.

Primarily responsibilities

  • Programming SCADA, PLC, and MES Systems
  • Conducting workshops tests (FAT) and on-site tests (SAT)
  • Participating in commissioning and troubleshooting with subcontractors and customersPreparing necessary documentation
  • Developing and maintaining standard concepts and tools
  • Taking responsibility for all technical decisions, execution of the contract scope and process integrity

You will get to work with colleagues and customers around the world, and the international aspect will take you travelling approximately 50 days a year.
You report to Senior Manager - Automation Execution, GEA.

Your Talent
You have a relevant education and experience within automation/electrical engineering and furthermore you possess the following skills and experiences:

  • At least a few years of experience with SCADA and PLC programming
  • Are used to working P & IDs and functional descriptions
  • Know that high-quality technical documentation is a key part of developing solutions for the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong Danish and English skills – both written and oral
  • Flexible mobility advantageous as projects are often away from office and home

You are used to collaborating internationally and have strong communication skills that secure a smooth development process. On a personal note, you are a true team player with a positive and flexible mindset, who understands how to reach joint project goals.

You have a proactive mind-set and a constructive attitude to drive progress combined with the ability to plan, execute, and meet deadlines. Also, you have a good understanding of complex technical issues within the field of automation. You are used to work with multiple tasks at the same time and are analytical and capable of digesting complex data without losing the overall picture.

You see opportunities instead of difficulties and are motivated by having a key position and understand how to apply your cultural awareness to inspire trust and respect among your colleagues. As an open-minded, dedicated, and flexible person, you utilise your high level of energy and can-do attitude to proactively handle the various tasks at hand.
