In your new role as Business Unit Manager for Pharma in the Öresund region, you will lead a team of 6 Section Managers and 1 Area Sales Manager, reporting directly to you and approximately 100 employees in total. The Business Unit is spread across the region with employees working at offices in Malmö, Herlev and Kalundborg.

The Business Unit has great growth potential, and you can become the next valuable member of the Management Team. As the new Business Unit Manager, you will lead the development of the Life Science business with both existing and new customer relationships in the Öresund Region.

You will lead, plan, and develop the Business Unit and you are fully responsible for the Business Units’ targets set in cooperation with the Board of Directors and the CEO.

The leader, who AFRY is looking for is an experienced manager with good leadership skills and a certain degree of authority. One who values a people culture characterized by cooperation and genuine, good relationships. As a person you will bring renewal, but at the same time respect the existing, keeping focus on the high-quality standards of the company.

Personally, you will be responsible for new investment areas. Driving the process from first customer contact through issuing offers in corporation with the Sector Manager till entering the Agreements and securing the customer satisfaction and recurrent sales.

You will be a part of a busy, highly skilled and committed team in an informal work environment. Giving you the unique opportunity of being an important part of bringing the company to the next level of business development across business units and national borders.

You will refer to the VP & Head of Business Areas Food & Pharma. You will work from HQ in Herlev and must expect quite some travelling between the offices in Denmark and Sweden.

You have a strong and winning personality, the power to make decisions, you are a great listener and value involvement to succeed with your team.

You have an academic and technical background as an Engineer or similar in combination with a good commercial education and business understanding. You have a conceptual approach experience from the international pharmaceutical industry as well as a great network.

You both enjoy and are used to meeting customers at all levels and have experience from the consulting business. Your focus is on good profitability and growth, and you know how to grow a business and further develop an already well-known brand in both a national and international market. As AFRY deliver projects to their customers, they value experience from project implementation, preferably international ones.

You have documented experience from leading skilled and exceptional managers, and preferably in international surroundings. You are a natural leader and role model, who seems to engage and lead your team to perform at their best. You are an energetic and decisive person, but still coaching and humble in your way to lead. You believe that it is important to listen to your co-workers and that you as a leader are responsible for taking care of and enabling your team and team members to evolve.

In addition, you are likely to have:

  • Knowledge of the whole value chain within project sales from idea to implementation
  • Strong knowledge of Pharma GMP, manufacturing and all the engineering processes
  • Broad strategic network within the pharma business in Denmark
  • Experience with strategic sales development, prioritizing and implementation of action plans
  • Skills in developing sales and marketing materials and conceptualizing consulting business
  • Negotiation talent and a sincere interest in the customers, following the sales process all the way to documents results

On the personal level you are open minded, communicative, and positive. You are a strong team player and appreciate the value of building good and lasting commercial relations. In corporation with customers, partners, and colleagues you naturally create trust and respect around your person. Your working style is structured and analytical and you have documented results.
