Synklino was founded in 2017, and has a drug candidate; SYN002, for treatment of CMV in transplantation patients, which is in development, as well as a technology platform for targeting chronic virus infections. The Challenge
Would you like a unique opportunity to take part in building a strong finance function in a valuable anti-viral Biotech company heading for an IPO?

Synklino recently initiated development of the first drug candidate and are conducting pre-clinical studies and process development. You will be responsible for the finance function and the outsourced accounting. This, as well as and not least business controlling with your colleagues in the R&D and other functions. You will also be involved in investor relations and investor communication. It is also essential that you are able to support management in preparation of the annual reports and quarterly updates to Synklino investors.

Synklino is working as a fully virtual company with all activities outsourced. Capital increases and even listing on the stock exchange is on the agenda and a significant deliverable for the finance function.

The board of directors put strong emphasis in governance including ESG and other value-based policies which Synklino must live up to as the biotech sector is an existing business, where they aim at delivering significant answers to medical needs for patients.

You will be responsible for:

  • Financial reporting (IFRS)
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Business controlling and contract management
  • Creating structure of the reporting tools
  • Financial calculations to the management
  • Potentially implementation of Business Intelligence tools
  • Driving and improving procedures including system automation, accounting, controlling and financial reporting
  • Support financing activities, IR activities and shareholder management

You are a genuine team-player and will collaborate closely with other disciplines and R&D project leaders. You will have influence and play an important role in collaboration with executive management, where you show a proactive and service minded approach.

Your Talent
You have graduated in Economics in combination with a post graduate degree from a business school and/or experience from Biotech, Pharma or another Tech industry in a similar function. You might have worked as a Consultant, and now may want to work part time. The responsibilities in the position can be adjusted to either full time or part time, Synklino is very flexible in this matter.

You will be a key player in developing the function, and together with the CFO develop and implement cost drivers in the organization. You have experience working with different economic models and have successfully implemented them, as well as intensive use of Excel and MS project. You are used to preparing annual reports, budgeting, and forecasting. Managing outsourced accounting and responsivity for the statutory audit and half-year review is also part of your tasks. Monthly reporting to management, BoD and Stakeholder are some of your KPIs.

As a person you are a proactive, structured and an accountable team player with humor. You are positive and committed. It is important that you can prioritize, and keep calm when deadlines are tight. You are good at solving problems and thrive with a well-balanced workload and with a good work life balance. You are able to work in a dynamic work environment where key stakeholders include R&D project leaders. You are fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
