The Team
The role is one of 10 Global Pharmaceutical Account Managers spread all over the world. The team is in a build up phase and will be responsible for managing Brenntag’s largest Pharmaceutical customers globally, as well as selected future potential accounts. The team and each member of the team are joining a commercial project management role on a complex global basis.

The Challenge
On behalf of Brenntag, Best Talent is now looking for a Global Pharmaceutical Account Manager covering the Pharmaceutical business area. You will be responsible for sales development of chosen key customers, tailoring projects, contracts, tenders, quality agreements etc. You engage with your clients with the support of the local organization. External and internal relationship management is key in this role.

In a natural way you like to interact with your clients at all levels. With confidence you have shown the ability to develop the sales by your way of working with an enthusiastic and analytical approach. You open doors and develop the client within concept selling and business development. You have a winning mentality and are trustworthy. You understand the importance of supporting the client and the organisation related to all aspects within global account management.

Your responsibility includes:

  • Engaging with assigned customers on a global level, and to build a detailed understanding of the customers organisation, operations, culture, capabilities, and strategy globally
  • Create and implement a global strategy/plan for your accounts, incorporated and in line with Brenntag global strategy for the pharmaceutical industry
  • Engage the customer in global projects that cover all functions of the Brenntag business, be that commercial, operations, value added services, quality, legal and/or any others that adds value to the customer relationship
  • Coordinate and manage global projects, utilizing local expertise and knowledge in the regional structure to best present Brenntag as a global partner
  • Engage customers at a technical level, and where needed involve appropriate technical experts from within Brenntag’s wider pharmaceutical team
  • Monitoring and appraise the wider pharmaceutical marketplace

Together with a very skilled team and support functions, this allows you to provide tailored and expert advice to customers and help them meet their objectives.

With a natural commercial mindset, you are interested in building the business by strong understanding of your client’s expectations and needs. You do not just deliver what the market expect - you are able to open the window to the un-known and their mindset for what they do not already know. The way of working and thinking out of the box, means that you are successful in both concept and business development for your clients.

Combined with this Brenntag is looking for a candidate with the following experiences and knowledge:

  • Education in relevant Life Science or commercial disciplines
  • Significant experience and proven success in account management, or key account management within the Life Science sector, Food, Supplements or the like. Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical or Chemical sectors is preferred
  • Experience and success in significant commercial project management
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, self-motivated and innovative
  • Able to communicate in English, both spoken and written, local language beneficial
  • Willing to undertake significant global travel

Through your business experience, you are knowledgeable of the Pharmaceutical industry, regulations, market needs and application trends. This gives you capacity to run and drive sales projects for the customers.

You possess a winning personality, are self-driven with a great drive and used to and appreciate a dynamic environment while delivering high quality results.

You are a team player, can work cross functional and see cooperation as the key to success. You understand the culture and the mechanisms within global B2B account management, which is vital for the decision-making process in the market. You are a strong relation-builder with a high level of people understanding combined with a good understanding of commercial drivers especially in the pharmaceutical field and/or related areas.
